Format
Open & Senior Event. 3 eight-end games guaranteed
Open: Games are win/loss
Senior: Games on Wednesday and Thursday will be points. Games on Saturday and Sunday will be win/loss.
Date and Location
The T.C.A. Mixed Energizer will be held February 13, 14, 16, 17 2008. The host club for this season’s event is Scarboro Golf & Country Club.
Other participating clubs include Annandale Curling Club, Bayview Country Club, Dixie Curling Club, The Granite Club, Mississaugua Golf & Country Club, Tam Heather Curling Club, Thornhill Country Club, Toronto Cricket, Skating & Curling Club Weston Golf & Country Club
About
As with most Mixed events, the TCA ENERGIZER Mixed combines some great competition with lots of fun and socializing. There are 2 major Events: Open and Seniors, and $10,000 in prizes to be handed out !
Eligibility
The event is open to all Mixed curlers from clubs in the Greater Toronto area. Curlers do not have to come from the same club.
Open Event:
This competition is open to teams composed of two (2) male and two (2) female players (playing in alternate positions) who are a minimum of nineteen (19) years of age as of December 31st of the year prior to the competition.
Senior Event:
This competition is open to teams composed of two (2) male and two (2) female players (playing in alternate positions). To be eligible to play in this competition, each male player on a team must be a minimum of fifty (50) years of age and each female player must be a minimum of forty-five (45) years of age as of December 31st of the year prior to the competition.
Cost
$200.00 a team for teams from T.C.A. clubs. $210.00 at team for non T.C.A. teams.

HISTORY
Event records show that O’Keefe Breweries sponsored this competition from 1958 to 1966. Imperial Life then sponsored till 1984, with the Permanent from 1985 to 1987 and the Brick Brewing Company from 1988 to 2000. The Senior Event was started in 1975.
In 2001 Johnson Controls assumed sponsorship of this prestigious event. The T.C.A. Energizer Mixed attracts close to 300 curlers participating in a 48-team open event and a 24-team senior event.
