Objective
To generate revenue to support juvenile curling projects in the Toronto area, both at the club level and within the GTA
Process
Lottery tickets are allocated to each TCA Club. Representatives are asked to canvas their membership - Men's, Ladies, Business Women, Mixed and Seniors. A letter is sent to all representatives detailing the project and their club's results in prior lottery efforts. All lottery tickets and monies are collected by TCA Executive members. A draw is held at the finals of the TCA Junior Bonspiel (December 30 th ) . Winners are advised and arrangements are made to award them their lottery prizes.
Revenue Sharing
This area is a major focus for the TCA. All monies collected from the lottery are divided back to the clubs in the following manner:
The TCA receives the first $100.00 raised by each club. All monies raised at each club in excess of $100.00 are split equally between the TCA and the member clubs.
The TCA has shared back the following dollar figures with its member clubs in the last 12 years:
1992 $1,512.00
1993 $1,923.00
1994 $1,924.50
1995 $1,623.50
1996 $1,854.58
1997 $2,531.00
1998 $2,832.50
1999 $3,384.00
2000 $3,869.50
2001 - $4000.00

2003 - $3158.00
2004 - $3500.00
2005 - $4068.00
2006 - $4384.00
This money goes directly back to the curling programs at our member clubs. This initiative allows member clubs to benefit directly from their participation in this development program. Municipal regulations decree that clubs who raise money through this program must spend the revenue on juvenile curling projects. A letter of intent on how to spend the funds must be submitted to the TCA care of Ron Tolhurst..
