TCA Outstanding Contribution Award
Each year the TCA recognizes an individual for his or her contributions to curling in the Toronto area. This award can be earned due to accomplishments on the ice or off the ice in an organizational or supportive role. It can be a combination of any or all activities related to curling. The award is presented each Spring by the TCA. If you would like to nominate somebody, please discuss with your TCA Representative or Club Manager and complete the forms below.

2008 Winner - Bob Weeks
The Toronto Curling Association’s Outstanding Contribution Award for 2008 was awarded to Bob Weeks of Weston Golf and Country Club at the TCA Spring Meeting on Arpil 29th. Bob Weeks is the foremost curling journalist in Canada. He currently is the editor and co publisher of the Ontario Curling report which for more than 30 years has been the voice of curling in Ontario. For 19 years, he has written a weekly column on curling in the Globe and Mail while also providing coverage of curling’s major events. He has written on curling in numerous publications across Canada and has been a commentator on both TV and Radio. He is a two time winner of the Scotty Harper award for the top story on Curling in Canada. In 1995 he wrote THE BRIER: The History of the Most Celebrated Curling Championship in Canada and he also wrote “Curling for Dummies”. Last year with Russ Howard, he released HURRY HARD The Russ Howard Story. He is a true friend of curling at all levels. He is always there to support us in our endeavours to better this great game.
